MacArthur Wins Backing of U.S. Chamber of CommerceMay 14, 2014
Bayville, May 14, 2014 - With less than three weeks until the Republican Primary Election in New Jersey’s Third Congressional District, conservative businessman Tom MacArthur has won a key endorsement from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, announced the MacArthur Campaign today.
The Chamber of Commerce represents more than three million businesses of every size across the country, and works to advance legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation and a less intrusive federal government.
“Creating economic opportunity and prosperity for all Americans has been a core part of my message in this campaign and will be a top priority for me in Congress,” said MacArthur. “I spent thirty years in the private sector, working my way up through the ranks, building businesses and creating jobs. I took great pride in helping my employees build a better life for them and their families, and will do the same with my constituents as a Member of Congress. I know what ails our economy and am committed to working with the Chamber of Commerce and pro-growth organizations to get America working again.”
“It is critical that we elect representatives who will provide leadership on issues that will advance the free enterprise system. In this race, that leader is Tom MacArthur and we are proud to endorse him in New Jersey’s third congressional district,” said Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s national political director. “We are confident that Tom will support policies that will help produce sustained economic growth, create jobs, and get our country back on track.”
