Andy Kim’s TV Ad Contradicts Andy Kim’s Resume

Candidate equates entry-level job at age 22 with time in President Obama’s Situation Room

Toms River, New Jersey – The campaign of Congressman Tom MacArthur today slammed Andy Kim for blatantly lying in his latest television ad. In the ad, Kim claims that he “became a national security officer for Republican and Democratic Presidents.”  But the facts as presented by Andy Kim himself tell a different story.

“Under absolutely no circumstance could Andy Kim be considered a national security officer for President George W. Bush. Full stop. End of story,” said MacArthur strategist Chris Russell. “Trying to equate his brief time spent working in government at age 22 to his self-proclaimed ‘time in the Situation Room’ during the Obama Administration is like comparing apples and watermelons. Andy Kim’s desperation to cast himself as a moderate, as opposed to the radical left-wing activist he really is, has led him to, once again, embellish his own resume in a manner that is meant to mislead voters. The truth is that he’s an unemployed tax cheat who has hidden personal income on government filings. He was a ‘relatively junior national security aide’ who even changed his website when he was questioned about his credentials. He’s a total fraud with a track record of embellishment, dishonesty and left-wing radicalism that warrants much closer examination.”

According to Kim’s LinkedIn page, he was a college student for the entire Bush presidency, with a brief stint as an entry-level staffer at The United States Agency for International Development for “less than a year” in 2005, when he was 22-years-old. In 2009, he started work in the State Department under Secretary Hillary Clinton. Kim left government before Donald Trump was elected President. At no point was he a “national security officer” for a Republican President.
